Cats!

Zakynthos is an island of cats. Tough cats. Skinny cats.  One-eared and one-eyed pirates. A spotted and calico family of cats across the island (probably all related!) At Villa Dione, we were graced with two special ones... George and Sophie. My daughter became their caretaker and the BOSS of these two. They helped us feel like we really did live on an island in Greece (and helped us miss our Lucy girl just a tiny bit less.)

 Sophie and George (note that Sophie is NOT pregnant!) We like to think she had 4 kittens and we named them (Storm, Rain, Thunder and Lightning.) 

Sometimes, George hung out and graced us with his presence and then they'd both saunter off to their next meal. But morning was not morning without their meows for breakfast. Who knows what they've seen. The dangers they've faced. The adventures they've had. George and Sophie kept it all quiet, but they left a mark on our hearts.
