Zakynthos...Villa Dione

A quick flight on EasyJet to Zakynthos. Rent a car. Our wonderful host, Stathis and his daughter, Aliki, guide us to our paradise. Greece is always a crazy place to drive. Hub is at the helm. Narrow roads. Quick curves. Scooter. Quads. Not a lot of rules on the road.

But then we arrive...and all worries float away at Villa Dione.

Villa view from the pool. (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/14778063)

So comfy. So Greek. So many memories made here.

 Pool time all the time!
Of course, every morning started off with a little writing and a cup of tea.
My morning view from the balcony (where many yoga and Uno sessions did occur!)

Of course, a little Greek breakfast, too! (Cherry juice, feta, scrambled eggs with tomato and oregano and the sweetest green melon ever. )

Inhale the sweet Night Blooming Jasmine. Oleander pink and red. Olive orchards surround us. Vines sway. Jasmine blossoms bob in the pool. Bees rest and drink. Swallows circle. Cats meow. Swallowtails flutter all with the Ionian Sea in the distance. The sun sets late-- around 9:00pm and soon the bats dive toward the water. Silent and graceful. Our resident Scops owl calls out into the night. dyoo dyoo

Such peace here. Grace. Beauty. Fortune that we make ourselves.

I am grateful.

"Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie,

Which we ascribe to Heaven."--Shakespeare
